County Commissioner welcome       

As the summer holidays approach we are starting to see units celebrating outdoors. Summer pack holidays and camps, days out, fetes and carnival stalls are being planned.  Even evening meetings in the local park or a walk round the village, these are all activities we are keen to do after the restrictions of the last couple of years.

Your County Commissioners attended two lovely events this month, Tower Division's evening at Murton Park where the ice-cream van arrived to provide desserts and Tadcaster Unit's Jubilee celebrations at Snowball Campsite where we had the most amazing cake.   Thank you for your invitations.

Thanks and Recognition Event 2022.
We are very excited that The Grand in York have agreed to host this year’s T&R event on Saturday 16th July.  The hotel will be serving their amazing award-winning afternoon tea; in support of our organisation they have given a substantial discount. Please come and join us for afternoon tea at The Grand for a fraction of the usual cost.

We can’t wait to welcome all our amazing volunteers; we really would like you to celebrate with us.  Without the time, energy, and commitment you give, our members would not otherwise have the opportunities, experiences, and adventures Girlguiding North Yorkshire South offers.   
We have an amazing guest speaker, the York Civic party and other invited guests joining us on the day.

A bit more information about the day:

• Venue: The Grand, Station Rise, York.
• Time: 12:30pm – 4:30pm
• Catering: Afternoon Tea
• Dress code: Appropriate uniform
• Cost: £10 (cost has been subsidised by NYS)

A flyer for tickets will be issued shortly via the Division Commissioners. If you'd like to book early please send an email to the County Commissioners to let us know the name/s and number of people attending and include any specific dietary requirements. Payment can be made to the county bank account via BACs or cheque, please mark the payment with the reference T&R.
