DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD
You can do your DofE award through Girlguiding or by volunteering with us!
Girlguiding has joined forces with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) to enable girls to complete this fantastic challenge as part of their guiding experience.
The best part of my DofE was doing my expedition to Greenland, crossing glaciers and seeing the Northern Lights!
Open to girls and young women aged 14 to 24, DofE is a great fit for those on their guiding adventure as it complements many other awards and qualifications available to members, such as the Queen’s Guide Award.
We also support schools, colleges and universities by allowing DofE students to join Girlguiding as young external volunteers, enabling them to complete their volunteering requirement with us.
Whether you are embarking on your Bronze, Silver or Gold DofE Award, you will need to undertake four sections – volunteering, physical, skills development and an expedition. Those doing Gold will also need to take part in a residential event.
Girlguiding has dedicated Duke of Edinburgh advisers that will provide support and helpful guidance as you progress.
